Punjab University Center for South Asian Studies organized a special lecture on “Sino-India Relations: Implications for Pakistan” here on Friday in which Chinese Scholar Xiao Jianming threw light on the topic while Khalid Rehman, faculty members, students and MPhil/PhD scholars were also present on the occasion. Xiao Jianming said that China and India had very good relations before 1950 but then there emerged some conflicting issues between then that led to war of 1962. However, in 1981 Indira tried to improve these relations and then there had been a series of bilateral visits and agreement. He said however by resolving issues between these countries we can have peace in the region.
