The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore’s Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management organised a two-day training workshop on “Business Opportunities in Sheep and Goat Farming”. Total 29 farm professionals and farmers from various districts participated in the workshop.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the concluding session of the workshop and distributed certificates among the training participants. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said that this workshop was arranged after market need assessment and such types of trainings were necessary for knowledge sharing and skills development of farm professionals and farmers. He said that there was a wide gap in this sector so there was high scope and demand for trained professionals in field of sheep and goat farming. He said that goat meat was choice meat in our country and to meet its need for our increasing population there is need to work on scientific lines in sheep and goat farming.
Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad spoke about the objectives of the training workshop.
